<!-- page body --> <div class='textboxV3' id='pgTextboxV3_1'>May 2008<br /><br />&gt;&gt;NEWS&lt;&lt;<br /><br />Hi Folks, {yes, I am still around!}<br /> <br />I did update my news page to tell you all why I have been away but something got borked and it seemed to go blank.. grrr<br /><br />The short story is...<br />I have had Crohn's disease for 12 years and 10 years ago I had bowel surgery to remove a nasty bit, all went well.... BUT... This year on Feb the 14th I was woken up in the wee hours of the morning with a huge amount of pain, I thought to myself 'ho ho I know what this is - blocked bowel - very very painful). <br /><br />So I called an ambulance and ended up spending a looooong month in hospital.. I had 2 major surgeries - one of which was life saving. I am now on long long road to recovery, I lost nearly 3 stone in hospital &amp; for the 1st time in my life I was classed as underweight, so I m enjoying eating my way back... LOL!! <br /> <br />The shitty (literally) thing is - due to the 2nd emergancy surgery I had to have a stoma (Ileostomy - click the link below) - so I have to wear a lovely and very sexy bag in which on the right side of my body in which collects my poopy and is uncomfortable :(.. and oh so attractive!! Thankfully its not permanant, they say they will reverse it in a year..arghhh. <br /><br />I also had problems with my surgery wound, which is about 14 cm long and goes straight down and passes through my belly button (which I lost :( yes kids I have no belly button) the wound went all manky and gaped it was a huge gaping wound, its closing up but is still very ikk.<br /><br />Anyhoo, thats about the long and the short of it. I will get back to creating for this site.
